Rider of the Week

Stephanie Teodoridis,

CIRO

For CIRO’s Stephanie Teodoridis, a Senior Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Specialist, participating in Bay Street Rides FAR makes sense because the ride reflects the values her company upholds every day. “CIRO sets standards within the Canadian equity market to ensure all businesses have fair trading leverage, and ASF sets standards to ensure that all people with autism have access to education, treatment and services that enable them to lead fulfilling lives with dignity; our missions are rooted in the same principles.”

Stephanie serves as Senior Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Specialist at CIRO, the Canadian national self-regulatory organization. She joined Bay Street Rides FAR in Toronto in 2022 for the first time, along with her organization, then called the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) but now called CIRO.

“Last year”, she said “there was a small group of us who participated. We had some walkers and a mix of cyclists as well. Everyone loved it. This year there’s definitely more incentive to do it again with a bigger group and get many more people involved."

"Personally, I love the walk because it’s more inclusive; people come out with their kids and their families. I got to meet some of the people that I had heard about during the day-to-day. But it was also nice to cycle and see a part of Toronto that I wasn’t used to seeing. I moved here during COVID so it was kind of nice to see the bike path and to experience that with my teammates. I think the part that I’m excited for again is getting to meet new people. Everyone’s in a great mood at the ride because it’s a positive reason to come together.”

Stephanie serves on CIRO’s DEI and Anti Racism Committee and says a lot of the standards and principles that committee espouses align with ASF’s mission.  “Being inclusive and team oriented, trying to make the world a more equitable place--there’s a true connection between our values there.”
