  • Riders part of a sponsor team are not required to fundraise, but are encouraged to.

Is there a minimum age?

  • Yes. 10+ on the 8-mile and 15-mile cycling routes, 18+ on the  32-mile and 62-mile cycling routes.
  • All ages are welcome on the 5K walk

  • All participants under 10 must walk with a parent or guardian; no more than two minors per adult.

Do I need to bring my own bicycle?

  • Bike rentals are available. Please email Katie Sime by September 1, 2026 to place an order. Bikes will be tuned up and delivered to the starting line for you.
  • Please note that all riders must wear a helmet in order to participate in the event.

How much of the money will go to the Autism Science Foundation?

We work very hard to keep production expenses as low as possible by soliciting sponsorships, donations and discounts for supplies.

To date, each year our sponsors’ support have made it possible for 100% of participant donations to be delivered to ASF. Ultimately, the amount of money, and the percent return, depends upon how many people ride and how much each rider raises.

What is the terrain like?

The routes will take you through beautiful DePage county! It will be a mix of road, with  some crushed limestone on the well traveled and popular routes along the Fox River.

GPS routes are available here, but please note the Ride with GPS links are for informational purposes only and should not be used for navigation on the event. Your actual route may deviate from those posted here; follow the posted signs at the event

Do I need to be affiliated with the financial community to ride?

Absolutely not! While we are most grateful to the financial community for its outpouring of support (please visit our Sponsors page for examples), Chicago Street Rides FAR is open to all.
